process
a thoughtful design process is critical to the success of the project.

please note that the process below is specific to larger renovation projects, and may not apply to every job.
consultation

during the initial phase of your project, the client and designer will meet for a walkthrough of the existing space and discuss your wants and needs. this first meeting gives us a solid foundation to work off, as we will learn about your style and concerns. after this we will prepare a preliminary package for your review.

the preliminary package typically includes a write up of services to be provided, an estimation of hours to complete the project, a rough price, and sketches. the contents of this package can vary by project, expectations and deliverables will be discussed at initial meeting.
preliminary

this is where we will begin to pull inspiration images, create mood boards, draft a space plan and look at ideas for furniture, hardware, fixtures and accessories. We will provide two or three schemes for you to review and make comments on. after we have gone over these options together, we will take your feedback and create a finalized scheme for your final review.

the finalized scheme will contain (1) mood board, a tentative schedule for the project, a space plan (and other drawings as required), and preliminary furniture, finishes + other selections (to be finalized during next phase).
development

once you have signed off on the design intent from the preliminary phase, we will create floor plans, finish plans + furniture plans (as required by project type), and we will begin to finalize furniture, fixture, hardware, accessory and finish selections.

this stage will include 3D renderings, plans, and itemized product selections. depending on the size and type of project, this stage may include contractor research + bidding.

deliverables for this stage will include a set of drawings and a project specification book, which will include all selected finishes + furnishings.
construction
procurement

while any necessary construction is happening, we will enter the procurement phase (buying furnishings). procurement can happen a couple of ways. we can handle all of the sourcing, ordering and delivery of furnishings so that you don't have to worry about anything, or you can handle the purchasing. Both methods have pros and cons, and we can discuss as needed.

after any construction work is completed, you and the designer will do a walkthrough to ensure you are happy with the work that was done. once you have approved the construction work, we will move on to installation.
install + styling

once all orders are on site, our team will assemble and install as needed. as furniture is set in place, the designer will begin styling the space with previously selected accessories. installation includes furniture, curtains, artwork, and other accessories.
once the space has been completed, you will give the final approval, and the project will be closed!
photography

following project closeout, the designer will reach out to schedule a photoshoot of all completed spaces. you will receive a photography consent form in your initial contract that allows us to use images for our portfolio!
